Back to training

It’s been a month since Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Canada and I’m finally starting structured training again. I’ve been pootling around a bit over the past month and doing some unstructured training but nothing serious. I begin structured training again this week.

My return to the pool this morning reminded me of how much fitness I’ve lost and how far I have to go. I blew after about 2.5 km of pretty intense pace training including 3×400 leaving on 6:15 and coming in on around 5:45. I managed 1 x400 in the next set coming in on about 5:35 and then detonated. My shoulder niggle didn’t help either!
